CHILD
CENTRED APPROACH
All of Africa Foundation Children's work is child focused.
We are child centred because
we:
- Fight for children's rights in Uganda.
- Try to view our big family through the children’s
eyes and involve children directly in our work planning
and development.
- Aim to improve the lives of suffering children in
our longer-term development work.
- Ensure children are at the heart of our daily work.
- Respond proactively to problems that threaten, and
improve children lives.
Effective
Africa foundation Children’s home, being ‘’An
African Extended Family’’, we work in partnership
with our local communities to ensure their views; opinions
and needs are taken into account. This means all our
programmes since 1971 have directly addressed our rural
community problems and the outcome has and will continue
to be very effective and long term.
We are effective because
we:
- Are responsible to serve the children, their families
and our communities as well as those who have supported
our work and continue to do so.
- A local and indigenous organisation established
since 1971, and always ready to meet both immediate
and long-term humanitarian needs of the forgotten
children.
- Have and will continue to deliver measurable, tangible
results to the children we serve (see our KEY
ACHIEVEMENTS)
- Listen and learn from others, are open and honest
in our reporting and professionally and financially
efficient.
Passionate
Africa Foundation is passionate about children. We strive
for the very poor and needy children to live life to
the full and experience the joy of childhood - playing
and learning within a safe, caring environment.

Pride
Africa Foundation's experience and track record give
us power to speak out and we will not hesitate to speak
out on children related issues - to get people to listen
to what matters - to respect the rights of children
and most importantly to nature the once lost soul into
a life full of hope and potential.
We have pride because we:
- Have witnessed children picked off the street turning
into responsible people in our society.
- Have wide experience and a positive track record
since 1971 to influence everything we do
- Turn helpless child's tears into guaranteed life
hope by undertaking concrete action.
