“Africa Foundation” is a Children and rural community development Not-for-profit (charity). We don’t receive any government funding, and are totally reliant on donations and fundraising events for our income.

We are proud that all donations to Africa Foundation go directly towards helping children and rural poor families in need. To give you an idea of how much money we could raise, we have worked out that if all our members saved just 1p a day for a year, we'd raise a huge £42,070 for Africa Foundation!

What could £42,070 do for orphans and poor rural families?

Here are just a few examples of how your donations will help us to make a difference to orphans and rural poor families in our care. For example, it costs:

• £15 Supplies and medicines, enough for a family to receive medical care
• £20 can provide six tonnes of building sand
• £30 Supplies and medicines, enough for a family of two to receive medical care
• £50 can provide warm blankets for 16 children
• £60 Supplies and medicines, enough for a family of four to receive medical care

After we receive your checks, we will acknowledge it and credit it to our back and we will send the funds to Uganda to help our programs, at the same time we will cover all bank transfer costs in Uganda a bank to do charge handling transfer fee -depending on denomination.

However, BE SURE TO NOTIFY us of your intention of the specific programs -for which you are sending money and again when you actually transfer the funds so that particular fund account may be properly credited. DO NOT simply transfer funds without documentation or it may never be credited to a proper program fund. Please note your local bank may charge a handling fee on each transfer-transaction (depending on denomination) to cover transfer costs; we ask that you kindly add these charges to your gift donation to ensure that we get your full promised amount.

Foreign currency cheques: the bank charges Africa Foundation a minimum of £5.00 per nonsterling cheque paid in. We find that when people donate they expect the majority of their money, if not all of it, to go straight to the charity; most do not appreciate more than 5-10% of their kind donations going on admin/bank fees! Therefore if non-UK donors/supporters wish to donate by Check/cheque, the best way for us to avoid unnecessary fees and receive the full amount of their generosity is to ask them to make their Checks/cheques payable to yourself as the fundraiser, and for you to then send us just one foreign currency cheque for the final total amount - then we will only be charged once.
