FOSTER HOMES

Africa Foundation is committed to programmes that offer needy children and their families alternatives to institutionalisation, we allow children in our orphanage to be integrated into a family setting.

Africa Foundation has been running and exploring this method in Uganda since 1971, and we wish to do everything we can to continue to support this objective. One of our other programmes we operate is to provide homes to selected families who agree to foster a number of children. We follow up these families throughout and provide whatever support we can to ensure that this transition goes smoothly and that these deserving children have a family for life in the process.

We have over 250 families we are participating in this programme alone across Uganda. This incredible family setting has helped over 420 children in the past. we would very much welcome any support to enable us continue to help these families to commit to giving these children the love, nurturing, and guidance of a family of their own.
