| This is an opportunity for a two way relationship
where your church benefits by learning about the culture
and lifestyle of Uganda, how the churches are run, as
well as the much spoken about poverty of the country and
the less spoken about War in Northern Uganda.
It is an opportunity for your ministry to see where
they can best help others less fortunate than themselves,
whether you decide this will be through a relationship
of a two way link, or by funding projects that they
can start to enable Ugandans to provide for the children
in their community.
Uganda Orphanage Church Mission Trips
 We
can organise trips to Uganda where you get to visit
churches and projects for orphans and street children.
Mission trips can be designed for churches from all
over the world – including Europe, Africa, Canada,
Asia, Australia and America. Your own church can take
a group (of any size) to Uganda on a 10-day trip (length
and dates are flexible) for the purpose of seeing what
it on the ground in Uganda, visiting orphanages, street
children homes and schools and seeing for yourself what
it is like in Uganda. We will make sure you experience
the real culture of Uganda.
We encourage all people interested in organising a
trip to Uganda to get in contact with us to discuss
what you want to achieve from this trip and we can tailor
design a trip that will cater for all your needs.
This section is particularly for churches, however
if you are not a church we can also arrange trips for
you – simply contact
us.
All our trips are arranged to support local communities
that you stay with in Uganda and at a very reasonable
cost (as a charity we do not make a profit on organising
your trip).
Here at Africa Foundation we offer the much needed
in–depth experience and contacts which benefit
the orphans, and access for any churches from any where
in the world to the orphanages.
Our partner orphanages in Uganda do not see a difference
between Africa Foundation and the mission team of the
church. We both see the church as a channel of our ministry
work to the suffering children and as God’s pre-established
relationship to save the suffering children.
Such relationships make it important that our cooperating
churches and Africa Foundation operate as one single
body. Churches need to agree to be an arm of Africa
Foundation - not a separate body that simply uses us
as a travel agency. This structural design will thus
help us grow this programme, rather than hinder its
growth.
Africa Foundation has a privileged working relationship
with Uganda‘s Ministry of Education and Ministry
of gender and internal affairs, which supervise the
work of
Children homes/orphanages in Uganda. Through our 35years
of experience having helped to adopt over 50,000 Ugandan
orphans, our relationships and in-depth experience throughout
Uganda is extensive.
Africa Foundation has a very strong belief in helping
Ugandans build a sustainable future in which they are
not dependant on the West. We work on sustainable development
projects that are devised and implemented by Ugandans.
We welcome involvement from churches and individuals
any where in the world. Your support to Africa Foundation’s
work will help our programmes and many other smaller
orphanages, NGO’s and suffering families in Uganda,
who continually look to Africa Foundation to assist
in the humanitarian needs of their children. The official
"entry" to orphanage sponsorship
(within indigenous orphanages) is often through Africa
Foundation.
